Hello!

Earlier this year, we began an overhaul of SFI designed to dramatically SIMPLIFY the program.

Why? Because our surveys from new affiliates continue to have one overriding message: SFI is too complex, too confusing, and as a good friend of mine used to always say, "A confused mind does not act."

So, today, I am very pleased to announce the next piece of our simplification project.

What we have done, effective today, August 1, 2011, is simplify our compensation plan. Is it a new comp plan? No, what we have done is take the old plan, which was a proven traditional network marketing style comp plan, and we’ve reshaped it so it’s much easier to digest and understand. In other words, the payout will be very similar, but now new affiliates will be able to much more easily comprehend it. Previously, the SFI comp plan had many, many twists and turns and levels and qualifications. We’ve now stripped out most of this complexity that caused so many new affiliates to stop before they even got started.

For example, Direct Commissions (the commissions earned on purchases by personally sponsored SFI affiliates and personally referred TC members), are now just a straight 45% of CV. And you can start earning these 45% commissions beginning with your first day in SFI–regardless of your rank or VersaPoints scored. Note that EAs (Executive Affiliates) used to earn only 30% on PSA purchases, so this is a 50% or more raise for more than 95% of our affiliates!

Similarly, commissions on your CSAs (co-sponsored affiliates) are now a nice, straight 15% of CV. Simple!

We’ve also simplified and beefed up ECA Royalties. You’ll now earn a straight 10% of CV. It used to top out at 6% for Platinum Team Leaders and was just 2% for EAs, so this is a 500% increase in payout for most of our affiliates!

The biggest change in the comp plan, however, is how we are now handling “overrides,” that is, the compensation earned on the purchases and sales of affiliates and members downline to you who are NOT personally sponsored or referred by you. We have replaced what WAS a complex framework of levels, rules, and qualifications with a clean and simple new pool we call the TripleClicks Executive Pool. Here’s how it works:

Effective today (8/1/11), we now put 40% of the CV of EVERY purchase–companywide–into the pool. For each VersaPoint (VP) you accumulate during the month, you will receive one share of the month's pool. The more VP you score, the more you will earn from the pool! Simple! (See your VP Ledger for complete list of pointable actions). Qualifications for drawing shares from the pool are also simple: You just need to be at least an EA (Executive Affiliate).

How does this new pool replace overrides? Through VersaPoints MATCHING.

As a Bronze Team Leader, you'll receive matching VP on all EA2s (affiliates who have been EA for at least two months) in your downline within 6 levels–including your CSAs. As a Silver Team Leader, VP matching extends to 8 levels. As a Gold Team Leader, VP matching extends to 10 levels. And as a Platinum Team Leader, VP matching extends all the way down to 12 levels!

Here’s an example: You are a Silver Team Leader. The EA2s in your first 8 levels account for a total of 57,500 VP this month, so YOU earn a matching 57,500 shares of the TripleClicks Executive Pool.

Matching VP is clearly the new “jewel” in the comp plan because it empowers you to earn "override commissions" on the actions of every EA2 in your downline (up to 12 levels deep) and on all your co-sponsored affiliates, too!

Did you catch that? Earn on ACTIONS. Before today, overrides were paid ONLY on purchases and sales. Now, on all affiliates in your group, within up to 12 levels downline, you can be earning shares of the TripleClicks Executive Pool every time they log in at the Affiliate Center, every time they buy or sell an SFI product, every time they send out a newsletter, refer an ECA, do a product review, and much more. Yes, we've added some cool new daily, pointable actions to your SFI To-Do List that you can earn matching VP on...and even more are on the way!

Over time, the levels on which you can earn matching VP can grow to contain hundreds or even thousands of affiliates that you can earn on! And there is no limit to how many matching points you can earn each month.

When you review these three pages, you'll notice that the emphasis is now on getting started by earning points from doing actions on the SFI To-Do List. And THAT, my friends, is the real game-changer being launched today. You see, ever since we debuted VersaPoints two years, new affiliates have instinctively assumed that they earned directly from accumulating VP. The fact that VP actually only influenced the percentage of commissions earned on sales and overrides has been a major and constant point of confusion (no pun intended).

Now, earning VersaPoints is, indeed, earning income! It’s direct and it's very simple. The confusion has been removed. Everyone joining SFI can grasp this basic “score more, earn more” concept IMMEDIATELY...and we think it’s going to have a major impact on activity, growth, and commissions going forward. Yes, it’s a great new day at SFI!

As exciting as the simplification of the comp plan is, that’s not all we’re announcing today. Today we are also debuting a new program that replaces Fast-Track. We call it Entrepreneur365 (E365 for short).



E365 is an exclusive, new contest we've created that is based on VersaPoints (VP), and that every new SFI affiliate is automatically entered in. Each participating affiliate has the opportunity to win a share of over $100,000 in cash and prizes...all while learning about how to create a successful SFI business!

There is no cost to participate in the contest and all VP can be earned through the many educational and business-building actions on the SFI To-Do List.

Here's how it works:
E365 is a challenge that you partake in against every other SFI affiliate who joined SFI the same day you did. The idea is to “outlast” them all and, on your 365th day in SFI, be named the champion of your class–an Entrepreneur365 Champion!

As an E365 Champion, you'll receive special corporate recognition, a spot on the E365 "hall of fame" Website, bragging rights, and a handsome plaque for your office wall to commemorate your achievement, and more. And, along the way, you will have the opportunity to win thousands of dollars in cash and prizes.

The E365 contest is divided into six rounds. The first five rounds are six days each (a total of 30 days). The sixth and final round takes place from your 31st day in SFI until your 365th day (335 total days).

All of the first five rounds use the same simple rule: Stay above "the green line" and you advance to the next round.

What do we mean by a green line? If you're in your first 30 days with SFI, you'll find the "green line" on the E365 Leaderboard :

It displays the MEDIAN number of VersaPoints scored by all the members of your class to date that are still in the contest. To advance to the next round, you simply need to score more points than the median (i.e. be above the green line).

The sixth and final round begins on your 31st day in SFI. To win this final round and be named the Entrepreneur365 Champion of your class, you'll simply need to accumulate the most VP in your class by the end of your 365th day. For each of your 335 days as an E365 Finalist, you will have 25 chances to win cash and prizes in our Finalists Drawings (up to 8,375 chances to win). Finalists Drawings are daily random drawings for all qualified finalists.

We’re VERY excited about E365 because it introduces new affiliates to SFI in a fun and interesting way.  People love playing games and competing for prizes and recognition.  E365 provides this and also great short- and long-term goals to motivate and incentivize affiliates during their first year in SFI.  With E365, your new affiliates immediately begin learning how to build a successful SFI business...while having fun doing it! 

E365 also dovetails perfectly with our new comp plan modifications.  It's an absolute perfect, natural extension of it in fact. That is, while they're competing in E365, they're also accumulating lots of VersaPoints–points that can put money in their pocket from the TripleClicks Executive Pool.  With each point they score for E365, important building blocks for their business are being put in place.  They're getting trained, they're learning successful strategies, and they're literally becoming entrepreneurs...entrepreneurs that are YOUR PARTNERS and that help you grow your business and your commissions.

We are excited today to announce a powerful new feature for SFI affiliates: Leadership Pages. Leadership Pages (LPs) are for every affiliate who is a sponsor or Team Leader, and are designed to provide a central page through which to support your downline members. Your LP is ready for you to start using immediately.

Here are some of the components of your LP:

1. A brief greeting in which you can provide a bio of yourself and let your downline members know how you can assist them.

2. A complete, at-a-glance contact information section which includes links for easy TeamMail messages and live chat, too.

3. A section displaying all of your SFI badges.

4. TeamTalk

5. Blog

6. Recommendations. In this section, you'll list SFI services and resources you recommend. You can also list up to five of your favorite products from TripleClicks. The TripleClicks ECAs you connect with are also automatically listed.

7. Recognition. In this section, you can recognize and honor affiliates on your team.

8. "My Best Tip." Your best tip for everyone in your downline.

9. Your LP also includes a "Rewards/Incentives" section. In this section you can set up contests for your team to motivate them and provide specific, actionable goals. You set the specifications for each of your contests (who is eligible to enter, what the qualifications to win are, the starting and ending dates, restrictions, and of course the prize--which can be TCredits, PSA reassignments, or gift certificates). With just a few clicks, and literally in just a minute or two, you can set up a contest any time you want. And when your downline members go to your LP, all contests they are eligible for will be be automatically presented to them to enter!

When you're ready to start setting up YOUR LP, go to the LP Manager HERE:

You will need to spend 20 minutes or so getting your LP set up how you want it. The best way is to click each individual tab and then just read and follow the simple directions that are provided.

TIP: Do your writing in a word processor. When you've got your text fully proofed, spell-checked, etc...only then copy and paste it into the LP Manager. If you don't, you risk having the Website time out on you before submission and losing your work.

Leadership Pages also are part of a new qualification program we are putting in place in August. Effective August 1st, to earn Leadership Bonuses, such as Matching VP (see comp plan at www.sfimg.com/compplan ), you must meet the following two new qualifications:

A. Maintain a minimum 3-star Sponsor Rating from your PSAs (not applicable if you have less than 5 ratings). If you're not sure how you are being rated, just go to the Scoreboard ( https://www.sfimg.com/MyAccount/Scoreboard ) at the Affiliate Center. Your rating, provided you have at least one, is located below your badges in the top, right corner. Note that, companywide, the average Sponsor Rating is 3.6.

B. Set up and maintain your LP. Setting up your LP is defined as entering, at the minimum, a Greeting, a My Best Tip, and Recommendations. Blogs, Rewards/Incentives, and Recognition are optional--though we of course hope you will employ them as well. Maintaining your LP means that you must confirm your LP is up to date sometime between the 1st and 10th of the month, between the 11th and 20th of the month, and between the 21st and end of the month. Buttons will appear in a bar across the top of your LP during the time periods that require your attention each month. Simply click the buttons to let us know your LP is up to date.

Both A and B are, of course, very nominal requirements. If you are active with SFI, maintaining these simple requirement will be extremely easy for you each month.

By the way, if the new LPs are well-received, "Meet Your Sponsor" (MYS) pages for prospecting are next. Think of it as your SFI "resume" for putting in front of affiliate prospects. Your photo, SFI badges, profile, etc. on one nice, neat page. At your option, we'd include a "Meet your sponsor" link to your MYS page on your SFI Gateway. And you'd also of course be able to refer prospects to your MYS page from your own blogs, emails, and other promotions.

Q & A

Q: I'm not a very good writer, so how can I set up my LP?
A: Actually, very little writing is required. The only three parts you are required to set up are 1) Greeting, 2) My Best Tip, and 3) Recommendations. Your greeting can be just a couple sentences (and feel free to use parts that you like from the sample page at https://www.sfimg.com/leadership/11439709). Likewise, your Best Tip can be very brief. Just state in plain language what your best tip is for your affiliates in your group. The last and final required LP component is Recommendations. For Recommendations, you need only check a few boxes and enter a few product ID numbers.

Q: OK, the three required items DO sound pretty easy, but what about the rest? Don't the other LP components require more writing?
A: Not especially. For one thing, the Blog is fully optional. In your LP Manager, you can simply uncheck the box for displaying the Blog tab. i.e. You have the option to not include a Blog on your LP if you're not sure what to write for your Blog. That leaves Recognition. You don't have to write anything here if you don't want to, though we recommend you do...and it's EASY to simply add a congratulations to an affiliate on your team. Remember, most people crave recognition. So when you see someone in your group do something good, just put it in the Recognition section. They'll appreciate you recognizing them and you won't have an empty Recognition section then.

Q: Why are we now required to maintain a minimum sponsor rating and maintain an LP?
A: The complaint we receive more than any other at SFI is that sponsors and upline members are unsupportive/unresponsive to their affiliates. SFI's business model is based on "teamworking" and it doesn't work nearly as well when upline members are "AWOL." Secondly, as a sponsor or Team Leader, you have a RESPONSIBILITY to provide support and assistance to your team. Thirdly, if you are not providing bonafide support (which these two new requirement are designed to demonstrate), legally you cannot earn override commissions which are, in fact, compensation for support.

Q: How do I confirm that my LP is up to date three times a month per the maintenance requirement?
A: On the 1st, 11th, and 21st of each month, a red bar will appear atop your LP. This bar will have a button to click to confirm that your page is up to date. Just make sure you click this button sometime between the 1st and 10th of the month, between the 11th and 20th of the month, and between the 21st and end of the month. That's it. Very easy!

Q: Will you be reminding me about maintaining my LP?
A: We may add an alert to the Alerts Page. However, part of being a leader in SFI is being active in SFI and taking care of your responsibilities. If you simply log in at the Affiliate Center every day and visit your LP while you're there, you'll never have to worry about LP maintenance requirements.

Q: How will my downline members find my LP?
A: Links to all upline Leadership Pages have been added to the "My Upline Team" page ( https://www.sfimg.com/MyAccount/upline ) at the Affiliate Center. We've also added a new "Contact your Sponsor/Team Leaders" line (which links to your LP) which is located in the header of the Affiliate Center below the affiliate's name/SFI ID number. And, of course, you'll want to be regularly inviting affiliates, both old and new, to your LP. The URL to refer them to is easy to remember. It's simply www.sfimg.com/leadership/ ...plus your SFI ID number.

Q: How will I find my own LP so I can set it up or visit or maintain it?
A: In the top right corner of the Affiliate Center, you'll now see a small "LP" tag. Just click this tag to go right to your page. You'll also now see a "Leadership Page (my)" link under the Hot Spots menu.

Q: Can I visit the LP of just my sponsor...or can I visit my upline Team Leader's LPs too?
A: You can and should visit them all. We encourage you to interact with ALL of your upline team members. Links to each are located on your "My Upline Team" page at https://www.sfimg.com/MyAccount/upline.

Q: Some of my upline members' LPs are empty. Why?
A: You'll need to give them time to set up their LP of course. They are just learning about LPs today.

Q: Can I only enter the contests of my sponsor?
A: No, if your upline Team Leaders have set up contests that you are eligible to enter, you can enter them also! Yes, you can now potentially win multiple prizes for your activities each month from your various upline team members.

Q: What if none of my upline members have contests available?
A: Let them know you'd like to enter their contests. If they know there is interest, they may start to offer contests.

Q: I haven't sponsored any affiliates yet. Do I need to set up my LP?
A: You don't need to at this time, but why wait? You can set it up now and when you sponsor your first affiliate, your LP will be ready for them immediately.

Q: Can I set up contests if I have no PSAs or CSAs?
A: No. Until you have affiliates under you, you cannot set up a contest (as no one would be eligible to participate). Similarly, you cannot set up contests for, say, Bronze Team Leaders, if you don't have any Bronze Team Leaders in your group.

We've recently been receiving a lot of feedback from new affiliates. The complaint: Make SFI simpler!

And so it shall be! Effective immediately, brand new affiliates are now being introduced to SFI in a new, simple, and concise way...and we've made changes to the Affiliate Center as well to keep everyone on track.

Here's what we've done:

1. When a new affiliate signs up--upon confirming their registration--they'll first see our "Welcome To SFI" page. No matter how long you've been in SFI, check it out here:

2. Upon clicking the "Proceed" button, new affiliates will next land on our new "SFI BASICS" page. You will notice that we've shortened and simplified the text. Moreover, you'll notice there is no menu bar and only a couple links away from this key page. This was done on purpose of course; we want to do everything we can to ensure that new affiliates take the time to absorb the vital information on this page before moving on prematurely.

Note: We will also be adding audio to this page shortly so the text can be listened to.

3. When the new affiliate has finished with SFI BASICS and are ready to move on, they are instructed to click the green "LaunchPad" button located in the top right corner of the page. This will take them to the LaunchPad index--where they are instructed to start with lesson #1.

4. Only then, AFTER reading SFI BASICS and LaunchPad lesson #1, are new affiliates advised to move on to the SFI Affiliate Center itself. Why? See for yourself by reading the new red text we've added in the top right corner of the sidebar of the LaunchPad Index and every LaunchPad lesson.

You'll also note when you visit the Affiliate Center now that we have begun widening the entire site (right now, you'll see this on the Homepage, Alerts, and Scoreboard pages only, but we will be doing ALL pages over the coming weeks). And on these new, wider pages you'll see two colorful new buttons:

A. A blue one to go directly to SFI BASICS
B. A green one to go directly to LAUNCHPAD

If your affiliates ever get lost or confused while at the Affiliate Center, they need only click on one of these new, easy-to-find buttons to "get back on track."

Here's how you should now think of the menu bar at the Affiliate Center: "Beginner," then "Intermediate," and then "Advanced." That is, if you start from the left side of the bar, you've got your "Beginner" link to SFI BASICS. Next you've got your "Intermediate" link to LaunchPad. For everything else on the menu bar---consider it "Advanced"…or at least think of it as links to information your affiliates shouldn't worry about until they've "mastered" SFI BASICS and have at least read the first few LaunchPad lessons.

One other component worth noting on these new pages is the survey located in SFI BASICS. You'll see the link to this survey at the bottom of the page. Feel free to click it and complete the survey, too, if you'd like. As you can see, we're gathering key information to help us make getting started with SFI as clear and as understandable as possible.
