TC Gift Cards are now “TCards”

As you know, we are always working on exciting new projects here at SFI.  One is an initiative to bring popular, name-brand gift cards to TripleClicks.

With a robust gift card program at TripleClicks, we’d be able to take Transfer Buying to a whole new level!  You’d be able to, for example, buy gift cards for your favorite restaurants…and earn VP whenever you dined out.  Likewise for coffee, gasoline, clothing, groceries, and much more.

In short, you could earn all your VP each month–just doing exactly what you do now, by just patronizing all your favorite stores!

Even more VP could be earned when giving gift cards as gifts to friends and family members.  And, of course, even more VP would be earned when your PRMs purchased gift cards from TripleClicks.

In addition to third-party gift cards, we expect to also roll out traditional TripleClicks gift cards, at some point, too.  That is, you’d be able to purchase, for example, a $50 TripleClicks gift card and give it to someone–who could then redeem it on any product at (not just TCredits/MRP).

To clear the way for this, and to eliminate future confusion and conflicts, it’s necessary to move away from calling our current cards “gift cards.”  The new name is TCards (the “TC” of course referring to TripleClicks).

So, effective immediately, we are now stocking and shipping this new, redesigned version of the card:

The new cards work exactly as before, they just have a different name on them and no mention of gift cards.

Another benefit of this name change is that it should entirely eliminate any confusion with traditional gift cards.  That is, a criticism of the old card was that recipients received them expecting them to work like traditional gift cards, which they did not, which caused hard feelings. There should now be no confusion.

Note that any older versions of the card you have in stock (or that are in the hands of your prospects) will continue to be accepted and redeemable.

Updating everything else…

Now that the cards have been redesigned, we must now update the many, many references and images throughout and the SFI Affiliate Center.  Also, there are numerous marketing aids affected.  Please bear with us as we make all of these edits over the next few weeks.  Special note:  If you’re still seeing a reference to gift cards (where it should say TCards) after September, please submit a ticket and let us know so we get it updated as well. We greatly appreciate your assistance!
