New Reassignment Rules

As discussed in our Opti-Build announcement, to maximize Opti-Build’s power and impact for your group, restructuring your first level by the end of March may be in order.

First, though, let’s affirm again:

“The best way to build a highly successful business in SFI is to help those in your team become successful.”

Let this key principle guide you as you consider your restructuring strategy!

Now, if you’re relatively new to SFI and/or have five or less Team Leaders on your first level, you probably do not need to do much or any restructuring.  But if you DO have more than five Team Leaders, pay very careful attention to the following information.

First, understand that everyone can have no more than five DDs (Designated Diamonds).  And being a DD is a requirement for participating in Opti-Build.  Therefore, if you have more than five Team Leaders, you’re going to have Team Leaders that are not allowed to participate in Opti-Build. That’s probably not good for them or for YOU.

Again, “The best way to build a highly successful business in SFI is to help those in your team become successful.”  Preventing one or more of your first Team Leaders from participating in Opti-Build goes directly against this tenet of course!

So, you have two choices:

  • > Leave your Team Leaders where they are and risk harming your relationship with them and, very possibly, your future earnings from those legs of your business.

  • > Reassign some of your Team Leaders so that ALL of them can qualify as DDs and be able to participate in Opti-Build.

If you feel #2 is the best option, here are our best restructuring tips:

The system is going to identify for you who your five DDs will be on April 1st.  However, unless you have a truly large number of very active Team Leaders on your first level, you should be able to ascertain who they will be now.  They will be your five Team Leaders with the highest rank (and in the case of a tie, the ones with the most VP for the month).

Your next step is to identify your Team Leaders who will NOT be one of the five DDs selected by the system on April 1st.  These persons are the ones you need to consider reassigning now, before the end of the month.

We recommend that you reassign each of these persons under one of your five top Team Leaders (those who you expect to be designated as DDs on April 1st).

You may want to “spread the wealth,” and assign, say, one Team Leader under each of your top five Team Leaders.  Or you may want to concentrate those being moved under one or more of your top five Team Leaders, the one or ones that have clearly proven they’re going to be superstars.  We recommend you also review The Diamond Plan for guidance.

Definitely also consider “compatibility” before making any moves.  For example, do you have Team Leaders that would really work great together because of where they live in the world or the primary language they speak?  Or perhaps you have a new, but inexperienced Team Leader that could greatly benefit from being placed under a mentor “veteran” Team Leader.  Bottom line: There are all kinds of ways that people can be both compatible and incompatible, so DO consider this carefully before making any reassignments.

Bottom line: If possible, restructure your group so you have no more than five of your top Team Leaders on your first level.  Then, manually reassign under each of them the rest of your Team Leaders before the end of March.  This way, ALL of your Team Leaders can be Designated Diamonds when Opti-Build launches on April 1st.

THE NEW REASSIGNMENT RULES

To accommodate the type of restructuring Opti-Build requires, some changes in our reassignments rules were necessary.  Following are the new rules (effective immediately):

1. Affiliates (non-EAs) can be reassigned only to other PSAs unless you are a Designated Diamond OR an STL or higher in rank—in which case you may reassign to your downline (12 generations maximum).

2. Executive Affiliates (current or former) can be reassigned only to other PSAs unless you are a Designated Diamond OR an STL or higher in rank—in which case you may reassign to your downline (12 generations maximum).

3. Bronze and Silver Team Leaders (qualified at this rank within the last 45 days) can only be reassigned to other first-level Team Leaders of equal or greater rank.

4. Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Team Leaders (qualified at this rank within the last 45 days) may not be reassigned without permission from SFI Corporate. Submit a ticket for any requests to reassign a GTL, PTL, or DTL and include your reasons for wanting to make the reassignment, then await further instructions.

5. There is no longer a limit on how many times a person can be reassigned.  However, a person may be reassigned a maximum of once every 30 days.

6. You may reassign PSAs (including those that you did not personally refer to SFI). Once they’re officially your PSA, they are yours to reassign as desired per rules #1-#5.

7. Previously, 5 VP was earned when reassigning an affiliate with at least 600 VP in the prior 90 days.  This has been discontinued, effective immediately.  However, we are planning to replace this with something better in the near future…so stay tuned.

Q&A

Q: When the system designates a DD, is that permanent?
No. All DDs will be designated at the beginning of each month based on their rank and VP for the previous month, and they’ll be qualified for Opti-Build for one month.  Thus, you could qualify as a DD in March, but then not for April.  Conversely, you could not qualify as a DD in March, but qualify in April.

Q: Are the reassignments I make permanent?
Essentially, yes, that’s why it’s vital that you carefully consider every reassignment.

Q: Could moving a Team Leader under another Team Leader create additional momentum in my group?
Yes, absolutely!  And it’s actually two-fold.  The one receiving the new Team Leader is likely to be DELIGHTED to have a new, active first-level Team Leader.  And the person you reassigned is likely to be excited also, because in doing so, you’ve given them what they needed to qualify as a DD and to be able to participate in Opti-Build!  Such a move aligns perfectly with the key tenet, “The best way to build a highly successful business in SFI is to help those in your team become successful.”

Q: What about non-Team Leaders on my first level?  Should I reassign them, too?
Yes, so long as you have at least one Team Leader on your first level who will qualify as a DD, you should strongly consider reassigning all your non-Team Leaders under your Team Leaders.  Why?  Again, “The best way to build a highly successful business in SFI is to help those in your team become successful.”

Q: I will likely meet the qualifications for DD by the end of March, but I know my sponsor has more than five Team Leaders, so I may be left out.  What can I do to improve my chances of being one of my sponsor’s five DDs?
The best way is to simply see to it that you are one of your sponsor’s five highest-ranked Team Leaders (and with enough VP to win out over any other Team Leaders with the same rank as you).  But if that’s not realistic, we would then encourage you to start a conversation with your sponsor immediately.  Let him or her know how much you want to be a DD and respectfully request that he/she reassign you to one of his/her top first-level Team Leaders so you may be a DD and participate in Opti-Build.

Q: What about CSAs?  Have the rules also changed on CSA reassignments?
We’ve made just one change on CSAs.  There’s no longer a limit on how many times a CSA may be reassigned (though no one may be reassigned more than once in a 30 day period).  TIP: We strongly recommend everyone review this article about how reassigning CSAs can sparks growth and momentum in your group!  Try it!

Q: I understand that Opti-Build works best when the lines it feeds into are narrow.  So will Opti-Build work better for me if I have less than five DDs?
Yes.  If you don’t already have five first-level Team Leader who will be DDs, we recommend focusing on no more than 2-3 people to start.  That is, help 2-3 of your PSAs become Team Leaders and DDs.  You may even want to consider reassigning everyone else on your first level under them.  Then pause on developing more first-level Team Leaders and make your focus be about getting your 2-3 DDs all the way to platinum.  Just by limiting your first level to 2-3 people, you’ll be automatically concentrating the power of Opti-Build…and making Opti-Build work more effectively for you (simply because all the sign-ups flowing through the Opti-Build stream will be less spread out). Then, each time one of your DDs hits platinum, add a new first-level DD.  Soon, you’ll have five first-level PTLs, per The Diamond Plan…and YOU will be a DTL!

Q: Do these new reassignment rules apply ONLY to Opti-Build?
No, ALL reassignments, both manual and automatic (Opti-Build), are now covered by these rules.

Q: I’m not familiar with manual reassignment.  What is the value of reassigning an affiliate…and how do I actually reassign someone?

Q: Can moving Team Leaders negatively impact income?
If you have a very deep group, it could, yes.  This is because you could move override income (Matching VP) out of your “pay range.”  Example: You’re a GTL, which qualifies you to earn on Matching VP down 10 generations.  You move an established STL down a generation, which puts some of the Matching VP you were earning on in that leg now on your 11th generation.  Such moves of Team Leader with deep groups can also similarly impact the earnings of your sponsor and other upline Team Leaders.  This is why we are encouraging everyone who is looking at reassigning Team Leaders to carefully and diligently consider every reassignment.  Special note:  You may want to consult your sponsor and/or other Team Leader who may have had a hand in developing/nuturing the Team Leaders you have on your first level.  Consulting with and asking for their blessing on any such moves is encouraged.

Q: Won’t I be giving up Direct Commissions if I reassign affiliates to other affiliates on lower generations in my group?
Yes, but don’t forget that you can still earn Matching VP on every one that is at least an Executive Affiliate (EA).  And, one more time, remember the tenet:

“The best way to build a highly successful business in SFI is to help those in your team become successful.”

Sure, you might earn a little more in the short term by keeping all your affiliates on your first level and tapping into the Direct Commissions they could generate for you.  But in the long term, you may very well be leaving a fortune on the table!  The fact is, the big money in SFI comes from leveraged income (duplication).  Opti-Build provides you with a way to put this part of your business into overdrive!  And, with proper focus, Opti-Build can make your Direct Commissions pale in comparison to your override commissions (Matching VP).  Also note that Direct Commissions will eventually roll up to you if the person/persons in between become inactive in SFI.

Introducing…Opti-Build™!

For years we’ve been extolling the benefits of building a “5×5” organization (5 affiliates on your first generation, 25 on your second generation, 125 on your third, 625 on your fourth, and so on), as outlined in SFI’s Diamond Plan.

And while some affiliates use The Diamond Plan as a guide, many use a more haphazard approach to their business, which is often ineffective.

So, today, we are extremely excited to reveal a program that not only actively and directly helps you build a powerful and lucrative 5×5 team, but also every member of your team, too!  This is because Opti-Build™ directly harnesses the synergistic energy of real teamwork and funnels this energy in a way that can make your SFI business explode with growth.

The power of Opti-Build starts with a policy change on Designated Diamonds.  Effective immediately, SFI now designates all DDs (Designated Diamonds), instead of sponsors. There are now two primary qualifications to be a DD:

  1. You have to hold the minimum rank of BTL (Bronze Team Leader)
  2. You have to participate in Opti-Build

So what exactly IS Opti-Build?  Opti-Build can be thought of as a live auto-reassigner of your sign-ups.  Participating in the program means you’ll be automatically and immediately reassigning a minimum of 50% of your personal sign-ups to those who’ve been designated as DDs on your first level and, later, to DDs residing on lower generations in your group.

An example of what your group could look like after a year of “Opti-Building.”  And, yes, those are ALL Team Leaders!

NOTE! Opti-Build isn’t designed to use only the sign-ups YOU are generating.  On the contrary, if your upline members are also participating (and hopefully many or all will), THEIR sign-ups will also go into the Opti-Build “stream,” which can deliver a constant flow of sign-ups to you and  every affiliate in your downline, too.  Indeed, it’s what makes Opti-Build so potentially powerful!

Following is an example of how Opti-Build works:

“Leaving only PTLs in its wake”

Let’s say that your sponsor, his sponsor, and two other upline Team Leaders have all qualified as DDs and are participating in Opti-Build.  These four total upline members of yours are also savvy marketers and are currently generating over 200 new affiliate sign-ups a week.

Upon qualifying as a DD yourself, you’ll begin receiving a portion of those 200+ sign-ups your four upline members are generating each week!

As these PSAs you’re receiving advance in SFI and become DDs themselves, part of the flow of sign-ups you’ve been receiving from your upline will now automatically be “diverted” to YOUR DDs. Of course, you’re feeding your DDs as well—with the sign-ups you’re personally generating too.

This process continues ever downward, “leaving only PTLs in its wake!”

And all you and every other participant had to do was qualify as a Designated Diamond and “feed the stream” with your own sign-ups.  Simple, totally automated, and very, very POWERFUL. 

Q&A

Q: What sign-ups will go into the Opti-Build “stream?”
Participants in Opti-Build can have ALL of their sign-ups go into Opti-Build…including from S-Builder Co-op, from the new Builder Bundles, PSAs To Go, Bid & Build, PSAs won at Pricebenders or purchased at TripleClicks, and of course any sign-ups they generate through their own advertising and marketing.

Q: So my upline will be building my downline for me?
They can certainly help you, yes, but definitely don’t look at Opti-Build as a “welfare program.”  On the contrary, you should enter participation with the full intent to contribute mightily to the system, as it will be this “synergy” of pooling resources and efforts that will make Opti-Build work for you, your downline, your upline, and all of SFI nation! Remember, all Executive Affiliates and Team Leaders share in a big 40% profit sharing plan (TripleClicks Executive Pool), so the more success SFI has companywide, the better for every individual affiliate.

Q: Is participation in Opti-Build mandatory?
No, participate only if you wish to benefit from the Opti-Build system.

Q: When will Opti-Build go live and start actually automatically reassigning sign-ups?
Opti-Build will go LIVE on April 1st, 2017.

Q: I’m already a Team Leader.  Where do I opt in to Opti-Build to meet the second DD qualification?
Opt in to Opti-Build HERE.  Note that you’ll need to select the percentage of your PSAs that you’ll be contributing to Opti-Build and agree to the terms of participation.

Q: How many of my PSAs can be receiving sign-ups from Opti-Build?
Opti-Build will work best when the lines it feeds into are “narrow.”  Therefore, a maximum of five of your PSAs can be designated as DDs and, hence, can be receiving sign-ups at any given time.  To avoid the scenario of having more Team Leaders than Opti-Build will provide for, you may wish to reassign some of your Team Leaders under some of your first-level DDs (more on this later).

Q: How does SFI limit it to a maximum of five DDs?
If you have more than five Team Leaders on your first level who wish to participate in Opti-Build, the five with the highest ranks will be designated as your five DDs.  If a tiebreaker is needed, the affiliate with the highest rank AND highest current VP will be the one used.  SFI will use your rank and VP as it stands at the end of each month.  Example: Your rank and VP at the end of March will determine if you’ll be designated as a DD for the month of April.  Your rank and VP at the end of April will determine if you’ll be designated as a DD for the month of May.  And so on.

Q: You say that Opti-Build works best when the lines it feeds into are narrow.  So will Opti-Build work better for me if I have less than five DDs?

Q: When does Opti-Build start diverting sign-ups from the Opti-Build stream to lower generations?
The simple algorithm that Opti-Build uses is this: Feed all DDs in the Opti-Build system until they’ve reached the rank of PTL (Platinum Team Leader)…while incorporating a 50/50 split.  Therefore, until you reach the rank of PTL, you’ll be the beneficiary of 50% of the sign-ups coming down the stream from your upline.  The other 50% will be automatically rotated between your first-level DDs–until they develop their own DDs—who will then automatically start receiving a percentage of the flow of sign-ups.   This process will automatically continue downward.

Q: Can I receive sign-ups from Opti-Build infinitely?
Not personally, no.  Once you’ve reached the rank of PTL (Platinum Team Leader), any sign-ups coming from the upline stream will bypass you and be assigned downline.  This of course can build income security for you by furthering the advancements of your downline team members while still continuing your own advancement towards becoming a DTL (Diamond Team Leader)!

Q: So when I’m personally generating sign-ups, how many generations below me might my sign-ups find a home with?
Imagine the birth of a new waterfall on a mountain.  At first, no water reaches the bottom, but as the crevices and deep spots on the way down are filled, the water cascades down.  Similarly, in time, as your group grows, your sign-ups could wind up two, three, four, five, even six or more generations below you.  And this will be a very good thing (see next answer)!

Q: But won’t I be giving up Direct Commissions if my sign-ups are reassigned to affiliates on lower generations in my group?
Yes, but don’t forget that you can still earn Matching VP on every one that is at least an Executive Affiliate (EA).  Moreover, it’s crucial that you understand the following concept:

Q: Will any of the sign-ups I generate go outside of my downline?
No, ALL sign-ups that you contribute to Opti-Build will be reassigned exclusively to DDs in your group.

Q: What is the cost for Opti-Build?
The only cost is your commitment to the program in contributing your sign-ups.

Q: Can my Opti-Build preferences be changed or are they permanent once set?
You can increase or decrease the amount of PSAs you’re contributing, or stop your participation in Opti-Build any time you want.

Q: Does Opti-Build utilize CSAs in any way?
At this time, no, at least not directly.  However, from your Genealogy, you can of course reassign your individual CSAs to affiliates in your group.  If you’re serious about making Opti-Build work for you, we recommend any CSAs you reassign be reassigned to your first-level DDs and/or DDs in lower generations in your group.  Why?  Remember the rule: “The best way to build a highly successful business in SFI is to help those in your team become successful.”  Obviously, awarding CSAs helps in this area.  And your interests are protected because the CSAs will be returned back to you if the persons you award them to drop below the rank of EA.

Q: Can Opti-Build help me, even if I’m not a DD myself yet?
Yes.  One of the great benefits of Opti-Build is that everyone’s PSAs will have a strong incentive to become a Team Leader so they may participate in the program.

Q: May I participate in Opti-Build even if I haven’t qualified as a DD yet?
No, but you may want to go ahead and opt in in preparation for when you meet the other requirement(s) for being a DD.

Q: Do you have to be a DD to receive sign-ups from Opti-Build?
Yes.  You can contribute some or all of your sign-ups regardless of your rank, but to receive sign-ups from Opti-Build you need to be a DD.

Q: My sponsor is inactive or won’t qualify as a DD.  Does that mean I can’t receive any sign-ups from above?
No.  Your inactive or unqualified sponsor will simply be skipped over when sign-ups come down the stream.  Same goes for any other inactive/unqualified upline members (they’ll be skipped as well).

Q: Can I have DDs after I’ve qualified as a DTL (Diamond Team Leader)?
The Team Leaders on your first level who are currently PTLs cannot be DDs (once you’ve advanced to PTL, you can no longer receive sign-ups from Opti-Build).  However, were you to add a new PSA who became a Team Leader and who wished to participate in Opti-Build, yes, they could be a new DD for you.  In fact, you could continue to develop PTLs on your first level, as many as you want, indefinitely, in this way.

Q: I can’t wait to become a DTL, but what if one of my five PTLs quits or becomes inactive after all I and my upline team members have invested to get them to Platinum?
We’re making a policy change to address this. That is, your goal should absolutely be to develop five FIRST-level PTLs.  However, we will allow the PTLs to be in any of your legs (minimum of one PTL in five different legs). Put another way, if there is a PTL within 12 generations, below one of your PSAs, we’ll count your PSA as a PTL as it pertains to your DTL qualifications.

Q: I’m an established affiliate who has more than five Team Leaders (and potential DDs) on my first level.  Can I move some of them (as you’ve recommended) so as to optimize how Opti-Build will work for me?
At this moment, we are preparing to adjust the reassignment rules to accommodate affiliates like yourself.  However, because such moves can affect not only your income but the income of your upline members, we want everyone to give all such moves careful consideration first.  Therefore, the reassignment rules will not be adjusted until later in March.  In the meantime, we encourage you to carefully assess how you want your organization to look like and who might work best with who, if reassigned.  Furthermore, you may want to consult your sponsor and/or other Team Leader who may have had a hand in developing/nuturing the Team Leaders you have on your first level.  Remember, moving Team Leaders can affect their income, so consulting with and asking for their blessing on any such moves is encouraged.

CSA Reassignment tool now available to BTLs!

screenshot_908Effective immediately, ALL Team Leaders–including Bronze Team Leaders–have the ability to reassign their CSAs throughout their downline!

By strategically reassigning CSAs, all TLs can now provide the incentive for downline affiliates to both become EAs and maintain the minimum rank of EA every month!

If you’ve been anxious for ways to re-qualify for your Team Leader rank under the new 2016 TL requirements, this tool may be what you’ve been looking for!

One of the best features of the CSA Reassignment program is that if you reassign CSAs to someone, and they do not maintain their EA rank (or, in the case of someone who has not yet reached the rank of EA, if they do not achieve the rank of EA), they roll back up to YOU! So, either your reassigned CSAs create EAs for you…or you get the CSAs returned back to you (and you resume your role as their Co-Sponsor with all the Co-Sponsor benefits you had before).

And for the person to whom you reassigned the CSAs–provided they maintain their EA status–it’s a WIN too, because you’re helping them build their team…and potentially their commissions, also.

Major new team-building tool now available!

We are very excited today to announce a powerful new team-building tool for Team Leaders.  Effective immediately, Silver Team Leaders and up have the ability to reassign their CSAs throughout their downline!

Why is this a tool to be excited about?  Because by strategically reassigning CSAs, you can now provide the incentive for many members of your group to both become EAs and maintain the minimum rank of EA every month!

Especially for those of you anxious for ways to re-qualify at your current TL rank after the new TL requirements go into effect in January, this may very well be THE tool you’ve been looking for!

Powerful new PSA reassignment feature

Effective immediately, if you are an STL (Silver Team Leader) or higher in rank, you can now reassign PSAs anywhere in your organization,–as deep as 13 generations!  Note: Some restrictions apply; see FAQs below.

How to use this new feature to grow your business:

zig_ziglar_help_enoughAs presented in THE PLAN, your goal in SFI should be to develop five PTLs (Platinum Team Leader) on your first generation.  For this to happen of course, each of those five must develop a strong first generation (your second generation), too.  And this need carries on down the line.

With this new reassignment feature, you can actively help this “construction” along. That is, as you identify workers–even deep in your group, you can now reassign PSAs under them.

  • STLs can reassign as deep as 9th generation (under those in your 8th generation)
  • GTLs can reassign as deep as 11th generation (under those in your 10th generation)
  • PTLs and DTLs can reassign as deep as 13th generation (under those in your 12th generation)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Can anyone be reassigned, regardless of rank?
No, here are the three rules:

  1. Team Leaders  (current or former) can never be reassigned by anyone ever.
  2. EAs (current or former) can ONLY be reassigned to your PSAs (to your first generation).
  3. Non-EAs can be reassigned to your full downline, but only if you yourself are a STL or higher.


Q: Will recipients of my reassignments know of the reassignments…and that they came from me?
Yes, for any reassignment you do, the new sponsor of your reassignments will receive an immediate email notification from us with the full name, contact information, etc. for the new person and instructions about welcoming them to their team.  This notification also names you as the person who reassigned the person to them and includes your email address.  Note: You’ll receive a separate notification to confirming each reassignment you do.

Q: Why allow only STLs and up to use this new feature?
This new feature can be abused.  Therefore, we need to restrict it to those with at least some kind of track record and that have something to lose should they be caught abusing the privilege.  If you’d like to use this new feature, just set your sights on becoming a Silver Team Leaders as soon as possible.  As soon as you qualify, you’ll have immediate access to it.

Q: Will I still earn the reassignment VP (5 AVP per reassignment) if I’m an STL and reassign beyond my first generation?
Yes, provided the persons being reassigned have at least 600 VP in the last 90 days.

Q: If I reassign someone beyond the generations I’m qualified to be paid on (e.g. 8 generations for a STL), how will I see them on my Genealogy–since my Genealogy only shows me the generations I’m qualified for?
It’s not necessarily an issue (as they’ll have new upline members to support them) but you would indeed “lose sight” of such persons on your Genealogy.  However, if you’re a STL or GTL, you can regain sight of them once you advance your rank.

Q: I’m a GTL.  At least when it comes to the Matching VP I earn each month, I can earn the same Matching VP no matter where I reassign someone, right?
Almost.  If you’re a GTL, you currently earn Matching VP down 10 generations.  So you’d earn the identical Matching VP regardless of whether you moved a PSA to your second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, or tenth generation.  HOWEVER, If you reassigned someone to your 11th generation, you would not earn the Matching VP until you became a PTL (which earns Matching VP for 12 generations).  Similarly, as a STL, you’d earn the identical Matching VP regardless of whether you moved a PSA to your second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, or eighth generation…until you advanced your rank to claim addition generations.

Q: Wouldn’t I earn more by keeping all my PSAs for myself instead of reassigning them?
First of all, no one is suggesting reassigning ALL your PSAs.  You of course need to be building your own strong first generation.  But will you earn more or less by reassigning some of your PSAs?  A clearcut answer is impossible to know, but because of the way network marketing works, helping your downline members build their downlines has always been one of the most powerful ways to create excitement, activity, and momentum in your downline–an absolute KEY to building a successful business.  It’s worth repeating, “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough other people get what they want.”  This quote by the great Zig Ziglar sums up in just 20 words the recipe for success in SFI…and our new reassignment tool helps you do it with unmitigated boldness!
